Website Marketing Process
All websites that we develop are optimised from the start, but there is more to web marketing than just the content and layout of your site. Optimisation and marketing go hand in hand when it comes to success on the internet and no single aspect works alone.
Just like everything else, you do not have to hire an expert to market your website. If you have the time, the patience and the persistence, it is yet another area where you can take total control. It is also one where, once again, we are happy to assist our development clients with solid guidelines.
Process of Marketing a Website
Assuming that you want us to handle your marketing and that we have not designed your site to begin with, the process would involve the following: - Gain a clear understanding of your business, its objectives, your target market and your opposition.
- Analyse, evaluate and refine your search terms to make sure that they are completely relevant and will get you the best results.
- Identify the best internet marketing strategies for your website.
- Complete a comprehensive optimisation of your site.
- Ensure that you are listed in all the pre-identified and critical engines, directories and forums.
- Work continually on building meaningful backlinks throughout the contract period.
Timing and Monitoring
Our website optimisation and marketing process is based on a 6 month contract. This is the minimum period for which a marketing project can be undertaken because it takes time to see results, see shortfalls, tweak, adjust and wait again.
During this period we constantly monitor the site's performance and any areas that are not making the desired progress, making whatever adjustments may be neccessary.
Costs of Package
On sites that we have developed, our basic marketing package for an html site of unlimited pages costs R800 per month, for a period of 6 months.
For sites not designed by us, the monthly fee for an html site is R1100 for 6 months, for up to 15 pages.
Pricing on sites larger than 15 pages will depend on the size, nature and complexity of the site.
Marketing of dynamic websites
We do not market dynamic websites that we have not developed. The reason for this is that proper website marketing involves two basic steps: fixing the site's flaws that will hinder its marketability; taking the necessary actions to promote the site.
Most websites that are brought to us are in fact beset with flaws that contribute largely to the site's lack of performance. Unfortunately, most of these flaws normally relate to the way that the site has been designed and developed to begin with.
To correct these on a dynamic site that someone else has developed is simply not feasible for us.
Marketing Quota
We do not accept more than 5 websites per business category, per geographical region for our web marketing package.
Guarantees
We guarantee that your site will be crawled by the major relevant search engines and directories within 6 weeks: - Google within 1.
Our second guarantee is that you will come up in the first 20 results for more than one relevant search term, in relevant search engines, within the 6 month contract.
Your site will also continue to rank well and normally improve in search engine listings, beyond the 6 month period.
Our third guarantee is that your site will be well placed to reach your target market - not just on search engines - and receive increased targeted traffic.
We also back these guarantees up fully. - If we have not delivered within the 6 month contract, you get an extended contract, at no extra cost, until we do.
